New Years Eve its right around the corner, and as in this 2010, next year we’ll have the international contest…



Sorry if the rules are long, but I want to make them as clear as possible.

ABOUT

Miss Furry is the Furry equivalent for Miss Universe contest in real Life. Our beauty queen will be elected due the effort given by the winning artist.

PRIZES¹

This year will be better. Right now we have:

1st Place: 1 year subscription to DeviantArt or equivalent via Paypal and a full color drawing of the Winner miss by ~kuki4982
2nd Place: 6 Months subscription to DeviantArt or equivalent via Paypal
3er Place: 3Months subscription to DeviantArt or equivalent via Paypal

¹If someone wants to join and give some prizes (drawing, points, or sub months) will be more than welcome

BASIC RULES<sup>2y3

2</sup> If you want to compete for the prizes, you must fulfill all the following rules 100%.

Your drawing must be:
Of a single female character (Fanart or Original Character).
From knees up, to full body (any pose)
According to the next definition.

Furry: Anthropomorphic character fully covered in fur, with obvious animal features.

Colored and with a simple background (complex BG is optional)
NEW (submitted in Dec 2010 and Jan 2011)
Intentioned for MissFurry (drawings planned for the contest from the beginning)
According to one of the three categories listed below.

Must have:
Quality (med to superior)
The official seal


If you are entering the contest you need to know that:
You can draw as many entrances as you like, but only three will go for the prizes and calendar.
You can create your drawing with digital or traditional techniques.
The art can be sexy, but not mature. That means no sexual poses or exposed genitals or boobs.

CATEGORIES FOR MISS FURRY CANDIDATES

The contest has three categories in which you can submit your candidate for furry queen of beauty:

Swimsuit
One piece or two pieces (bikini), the more original the better
Loli Fashion
You can dress your character in any of the Loli style types, from Gothic to Sweet. Check out this article for more references: [link]
Sexy Pyjamas
Definition for this category is: clothes that the contestant would use during her sleeping time, (nightgown, hotpants and shirt, jumpsuits, baby doll and similar)

JUDGES⁴

I’m asking some artist to help me with the evaluations. There will be 5 to 7 judges this year.

The final jury will be revealed in January.

⁴No judge will content for the prizes, however, they can submit drawings and apply for the calendar.

OPENING AND DEAD LINE

drawings will be featured in a journal from this moment on.
Entries will be received until 11:59:59pm Mexico city time of January 25.
Winners will be announced the first days of February.
The subscription prizes will be awarded after announcing the winners, and drawings will depend on each artist.

JUDGING

The judges will consider the following ⁵:

Composition*
Originality**
Technical quality*
Personal effort**
Visual Impact**
Drawing quality*
Over all*

⁵Each aspect will be awarded with a score from 1 to 10* or 20**. The winner will be the one that gets more total points (only one prize per artist even if he/she has more than one entry in the three first places)

CALENDAR

As in 2010, I’ll make a calendar with the highest ranked entries of each category. That means I’ll take four from swimsuit, four from Loli, and four from Pyjamas. And it will be from February 2011 to January 2012.

FAQ

Can I submit a bird, a reptile or a non furry mammal?
R: You can, but it won’t be judged or considered for the calendar

Can I submit a  nekomimi?
R: Nekomimi, Inumimi and other eared and tailed girls are not considered Furry so they won be featured or judged.

What about centaur furry and similar?
R: Only Anthropomorphic furry characters will be considered for this contest

Well then, which animals can I draw for the contest?
R: Basically furry mammals.

How do I know if my entry will be considered for judging?
R: I’ll add a green bullet () right next to the entries that are 100% according to the rules and will be judged.

Are you featuring my drawing even if is not 100% according to the rules?
R: Yes it will be featured but not judged.

Can I update my drawing so it fits the rules?
R: Yes you can, as long as you do it before deadline.

If I draw more than three entries, Which are going to be considered for the prizes?
R: The best three

Can I use the same character in the three categories
R: It can be that way or you can use a different character for each category, or you can use three characters for the same category, it’s up to you.

Are you featuring all the entries?
R: The only entries that wont be featured will be the ones considered mature, ofensives, copied, retraced and against the anthropomorphic rule.

Can I draw insects or furry fruits?
R: Not this time.

Why is my entry not featured?
R: Because it’s not according to some or all the contest rules

Im giving prizes, I will be considered for judging?
R: Yes if you are not a judge
